Firstly as a sigma you need to truly understand who you are? Why are you here? And what is your purpose? This is the basic conversation you need to have with yourself before going out there in the world. I mean think about it you did not know when you were coming into this world, you did not know if you were coming as a male or female and you did not know how to come into this world.
 

Who are you? Have you ever asked yourself this question? I mean you woke up one day and you are already connecting with the world but where were you a few minutes ago? Who created your body? As you know you never created yourself. I mean without you even asking, you have a body that is fashioned so perfectly – eyes to see, ears to hear, nose to smell, mouth to eat, arms to help, legs to walk, brain to think and a heart to keep you alive (etc.) but little are we grateful.
 

Why are you here? I mean are we really here on this earth to make money and have fun or is there more meaning to your existence. You need to understand the whole point of you being present on this earth. Will you walk on this earth and do wrong? Or will you walk on this earth and do right? The choice is yours.
 

What is your purpose? I mean what is the point of all this and where are we heading to? Surely we have not come onto this earth to work hard and become non-existent again. Is death really the end of our story? Or is there more to life. Would you not want to be reunited with your loved ones again or is it the end?
 

I’m a Muslim – Alhamdulillah. So do I know the answers for the questions above? Yes I do. I’m a creation of my Lord – Allah SWT [Indeed, We created humans in the best form. Quran 95:4] so now that I understand who created me as I never created myself it all makes sense. I mean who else can fashion humans so perfectly? Now I have accepted the fact I have a creator, I need to understand why I’m here? [I did not create jinn and humans except to worship me. Quran 51:56] so now I understand, I am here on this earth to worship the one who created me. Finally what is my purpose? [For your God is only One God, so submit yourselves to Him ˹alone˺. Quran 22:34] my purpose in life is to submit myself to my Lord – Allah SWT ˹alone˺. Also is death really the end of our story? NO! [Every soul will taste death, then to us you will ˹all˺ be returned. Quran 29:57]
 

I’m a Muslim – Alhamdulillah with a sigma personality trait. The Quran has helped me answer the basic questions of life and now I have the right mind-set.

Learn about the Quran.
‘Indeed, your Lord is Allāh, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allāh, Lord of the worlds.’ Quran 7:54

Learn from your mistakes.
Hey, who am I to point out your mistakes when I’m not perfect myself. I guess we all make mistakes and need to learn how to self-improve, also to become a better person each and every day.
 

Learn from the best!
Who is the best of creation? And who is the best to ever walk upon the planet?

First of all, anyone who is reading this post and your parents has already passed on – you have my deepest condolences. 

May our Lord – Allah SWT grant them mercy and forgiveness. May our lord – Allah SWT grant them the highest level of heaven – Jannatul Firdaus. May our Lord – Allah SWT grant them countless blessings. May our Lord – Allah SWT make their graves a place of comfort and light.

May our Lord – Allah SWT make everything easy for you and your loved ones.
 

Who say, when struck by a disaster, “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” Quran 2:156
 

As a sigma you need to understand the root causes hence why I have mentioned about the creator and the best of creation sent to mankind (blog1&blog2). I think its only right of me to mention about parents next as we do come through our parents to be present in this world. We didn’t get to choose which parents we are coming through nor which part of the world we are going to born. Our creator who knows best chose our parents for us and only he knows what we do not know. I think its beautiful the knower of the unseen knows exactly why he chose our parents and as we grow older we start to realise we are truly blessed to have our parents around. This should also humble you in many ways because when you are speaking to people all around the world with different skin colour and languages – you should automatically sense to be respectful and the word racism does not exist in the sigma dictionary.
A true sigma needs to understand the concept of life as this all connects to how you will live your life.
 

Parents are beautiful.
Your Mothers love is a special kind of love. Your Mother is the one who bore the pain through pregnancy and labour – don’t forget. Your Mother is the one who fed you from her body whilst you were hungry and helpless – don’t forget. Your Mother is the one who kissed you and clothed you whilst you were young – don’t forget. Your Mother is the one who reminded you to wear your jacket so you don’t get cold – don’t forget. Your Mother is the one who wants to see you grow up and become successful – don’t forget. Your Mother is the one who will look after you all your life no matter what age – don’t forget. Your Mother is the one who will make the right food for you, even if you taste all sorts of food – your Mother will always be the best cook because her secret ingredient is love.
Your Fathers love is also a special kind of love. Your Father is the one who has been thinking about you before you were born – don’t forget. Your Father is the one who played with you whilst you were young thinking you might become somebody one day – don’t forget. Your father is the one who had to hustle his way through life in order to bring food to the table – don’t forget. Your father is the one who disciplined you whilst growing up for your own good – don’t forget. Your Father is the only one who wants you to become better than him – don’t forget. Your father is the only one who is ready to step in and save your life, without a second thought because his secret weapon to save you is love.

And your Lord has decreed that you worship not except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.’ Quran 17:23
